Anyone else obsessed with neutrals? If you look at my closet, you’ll notice most of my clothes stay within the range of white, cream, tan, grey, and black. A touch of blush pink and olive green can be found in small corners, but for the most part it consists of one color palette.
Neutrals just happen to be my jam. They make me happy. Honestly, the thought of having a capsule wardrobe intrigues me and as much as I try to widdle my closet down to just 10 items, I find myself standing in front of a wall of neutral options. But here is where my creativity thrives in a very simple way. Pairing different options together, similar to what you would do in a capsule wardrobe, unveiling new outfits and repurposing items in multiple ways. It’s honestly fun seeing how many different options I can pull together with a single top.
As I choose my outfits each day, I typically will go with something that is comfortable yet pulled together. When my kids were younger, white was not an option. Spit up, drink spills, and chewed up goldfish were typically a regular occurrence, but luckily now they are at an age I don’t stress too much about getting super messy. So white is a must for me during any season. Plus, it’s my favorite color!
Whether you are staying home with the fam, heading out to run errands, or grabbing a quick bite with a friend, this outfit has to be my favorite go-to for both comfort and style. I gravitate towards outfits I can easily grab and go since my mornings are busy with getting three little ones ready, tending to studio demands, and homeschooling.
Easy outfits as a busy mom are a must and this one is at the top of my list. Wear the top and shorts together for a monochromatic look as shown or mix and match with other items in your closet!
